Garrigae Distillerie de Pezenas - Hotellerie & Spa

Located on the edge of the historic town core (reached across a footbridge) this hotel is a good base to explore the town and as a place to break a journey on the A75. On site parking seemed to be only just about enough for the hotel, but was good to have. The welcome was good with English spoken by many of the staff. We were upgraded to a suite that included a kitchenette. The room air-con worked ok-ish. The hotel restaurant calls itself a bistro, but the quality and presentation of the food was excellent, especially when accompanied with a local Pezenas red wine. The buffet breakfast was good - once you had located where everything was laid out. We did not use it, but the pool and surrounds looked nice.

I've been staying here each year since it opened, and it is good to see that they have recently redecorated the rooms. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. It is very useful to have an area to make coffee and keep some food in the fridge provided. The pool is very welcome to cool down on hot days. Breakfast was good on the days that everything was available, but some mornings both the coffee machines malfunctioned and had to be reset, and the croissants ran out on a couple of mornings.

The rooms were a nice size. The balcony was exceptional. The facility is very clean and very quiet.

The hotel has been redecorated since my last stay before the pandemic and looks clean and fresh. I had a large room with a comfortable bed. There was a good breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
